Looks like single comb, feathered feet, black in color.This is the Free Surprise Chick from Murry McMurry Hatchery, can you ID it for me. It came with my order with 2 Bielefelder - Females and 4 Black Australorp Females.
Right? The real surprise would be getting a pullet.And like most other Free Surprise Chicks from McMurray, it appears to be male.
Brahmas also have pea combs, and the three most common colors (only ones offered by McMurray) do not include solid black.Maybe some kind of Cochin? I know they’ve got legs like that, and in my experience with feather legged birds, Brahma chickens have a break in feathering down the leg and look more like they have feathered drumsticks and toes, not all the way down like that.
