Oh my gosh, Wendy!! I am so sorry for your loss!! I understand how you feel (not that it helps much

). We had a Bernese Mountain Dog mix that is prone to health problems as well. She seemed 100% healthy, so we didn't think anything of it. I took her in for her allergy shot (she had seasonal allergies in the summer...not a big deal). The vet did a check-up at the same time and found swollen lymph nodes. We lost ehr 9 weeks later from lymphoma (cancer in the lymph system). She just turned 5 years old and had no symptoms until after her diagnosis. Those large breeds are the sweetest gentle giants!!

Duke sure looked like a gorgeous boy!!

I know we've all been through this before..

Theres just never enough time with them.. never enough. And when you lose them so suddenly..its just such a shock.
You keep saying..if i had only one more day with them.. Just one more time to snuggle with them and play with them and make them happy.
Just one more day to enjoy them.
Thats how i feel .. and now i'm crying again.

I'll be okay..it just takes time..
