That's why I bought a big hutch for the brooder!People do it all the time brood chicks and ducklings together. But watching my 4 since Thursday I don’t think I’d want to put the two together. It’s a good idea being able to separate your brooder. Your chicks will thank you!

Yes..Ducklings take a bit longer. Mine are internally pipped and I don't expect to see babies till Monday..It's been 21 hours now since I saw the external pips. Loads of wiggling and peeping going on.![]()

I use a regular 75w light bulb...not a heat lamp and the regular light bulb gets plenty warm enough.175 W and the other one I don't know.
Definitely try it ..I put both lamps in. One lower for the chicks. I divided the brooder as well...
Two ducklings started zipping and two of the Andalusians are rocking!![]()
Two separate Brooders are ideal really.Go get a thermometer for goodness sakes.![]()
