Can I recommend a breed?

California whites are a white Leghorn mixed with a grey leghorn. I found them to be very personable. Mine lived past 7 years and were excellent layers their whole lives.

Internal laying. The yolks go into the body cavity and it gets really infected.

Yeah, I culled her 'cause she wasn't moving around and looked pretty sick. No wonder, with all that gunk inside. The pressure must have been painful too.

I don’t have the nerves to hatch so I have to let my girls or someone else hatch for me. You all that can place eggs in a bator and wait are sure stronger than than I. I admire those nerves of steal!!

Agreed. I just let the ducks handle it, and of coarse we have all those silkies who could hatch anything lol.
