This is why I love chickens...

I just got a reminder why I love chickens so much… One of my pullets just laid an egg… on top of my rescued rooster, Eddie's pen. Eddie of course made even more of a fuss than the pullet did. My 8yo son went out to see what's going on and came back to tell me "Something really strange just happened! Eddie OR the hen just laid an egg!"

Non-chicken people just don't know what they're missing...

I remember that look from my own 2 boys...as I recall, I saw that look quite a bit during their teen years, lol!
