This isn't funny and they (Coturnix) know it!

The first time I saw my chickens sun bathing it freaked me out. Guess, your right I really freaked when I saw my coturnix laying their on his side with his legs straight out.

These darn quail do look dead! And I kid you not, they scare me every time!

Now this little button decided the dead looking quail looked comfy!

He just came along and plopped right down on him! lol!!

Quail have no respect for their roommates they just walk on each other. My chickens are the same well my roo that is. He was mating one of his girlfreinds & finished up in record time LOL gets off & steps on her head . Poor girl!! Think my roo is a wife beater. I wanted to step on his head.

I have noticed that quail don't care what they step in or what/who they step on.

Unfortunately, when I had some chicks die, I knew they were dead because they were stretched out and flat. They must have been trampled a lot before I got home and found them.

HAHA how cute your pics are! i rember my first batch of buttons i left them in the care of my mom after leaving a detailed list while i spent then ight at my bf that night she called me all freaked out
"i think theres somthing wrong with the chicks!!!"

What isn't funny is when you are selling juvenile coturnix to a customer, they are in the sun sunbathing, and you open the lid and they ALL are spread out playing dead....and the customer has that look

I want to fall over and start laughing right there!
