We live on a farm and today a woman pulled into the driveway to let us know "Your chickens are loose in the front yard".

Yes, we know, They free range, thank you".

We look in the front yard......Ummmm... Those are guineas...

I will have to say, it was nice of her to stop and let us know, just in case

I've had a neighbor call to tell us that our chickens were in the corn field. I freaked out and rushed outside to catch them. Turns out it were the Eastern Wild Turkeys that come around every year.

Too funny! People say the funniest things! I am amazed at how little some people know about "farming"! I had some ducks go missing a couple of years ago so I called my closest neighbors to ask them to keep an eye out for them and one of the nieghbors asked "Are they all Golden Retrievers?" my response...my dogs are but it's my DUCKS that are missing!

Gotta find humor where you can!

One of my teen sister's friends came over and drove around back past where the chickens free range, and she parked and ran into the house saying "There's some sort of giant strange bird out there - I think it might eat your chickens!!!" So we all ran out and she pointed at the "dangerous" bird: My tom turkey.
