I heard smoking cigarettes makes you immune from radon. Can't quote the source.

I am confused- is this thread about organics or radon? Has it been hijacked? Let me know because the radon topic doesnt' interest me.

For goodness sakes. Radon Gas is ORGANIC.

Kinda, it will kill you Organic. But Organic none the less.

OK, I guess the topic has officially been changed from Organics to Radon. Change the title so people know what it is about.

Run from the radon!! Ruuun!!!

Anyway.. I guess one point on organic is that it means theres just that much less chemicals and other nasties in our environment, even if just a little. I would think thats a good thing.

Only if you have it certified as having been chemical free for at least 5 years. You know snakes these days and all their chemical dependency issues......

This confuses me:

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are gases or vapours emitted by various solids and liquids, many of which have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Household products that emit VOCs include paint, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, glues and adhesives, building materials and furnishings. Consequently, concentrations of many VOCs are higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors[5]. Fuels such as gasoline (petrol) and diesel also release VOCs.
VOCs are organic chemical compounds that have high enough vapor pressures under normal conditions to significantly vaporize and enter the atmosphere. A wide range of carbon-based molecules, such as aldehydes, ketones, and other light hydrocarbons are VOCs. The term often is used in a legal or regulatory context and in such cases the precise definition is a matter of law. These definitions can be contradictory and may contain "loopholes"; e.g. exceptions, exemptions, and exclusions. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines a VOC as any organic compound that participates in a photoreaction; others believe this definition is very broad and vague as organics that are not volatile in the sense that they vaporize under normal conditions can be considered volatile by this EPA definition. The term may refer both to well characterized organic compounds and to mixtures of variable composition.

Only if the snake is raised organicly.

Just because its organic doesn't mean it won't kill you! Think of all the wild poisonous plants. Would you like some of my organic castor beans by chance?
