Even tho this is my first post in this Forum (why can't I ever find my camera after midnight?) I hope that anyone who comes to this question realizes, that yes a bunch of poultry enthusiasts are not on the top of any Federal Agencies list for expenditures (spying costs money!). However, whenever a group of free-thinking, self-reliant people congregate it is in the governments interest to observe. Such individuals are the power of our great country, yet as often has happened with many subcultures (from the 'seed grandmothers' in India trying to stop Monsato's global crawl - to Weed Growers in the US trying to save almost extinct North American strains) when it flexes it's collective muscle it will find itself slowly being restrained or worse, working itself to exhaustion.

That being said, I think it's ironic I see this post here tonight when I finally have time to register here (I've been trolling for awhile - finding answers for my established guys outside and my new hatchlings in the brooder). I am an CMS engineer for a marketing company that has several Defense clients. Yes, marketing. The amount of paranoia I come in contact with from both sides, deserved and delusional, is growing at a viral rate. Of course this comes before I can say that some of the things I've seen I could never position as existing. Position it this way, it's not that the technology or will doesn't exist to monitor your every move, it is that the government doesn't have your consent. I don't think it's too "out-there" to think that this Forum doesn't fall into some umbrella of sites the government has expenditures for (and eventually admits too - they admitted they comb through MySpace live, as in real-time analysis, not too long ago - google NSA comb myspace).

The real point I think self-reliant individuals will have to come to is to remain ever diligent, with an open mind, and unconditional heart to one another. Only when we have each come to this point with ourselves can we view our surroundings with an objective eye - and if the facts are still there then we must take action. As individuals we can only prepare of ourselves but in groups we would have the power to prepare for societies - and I know that is not the interest of many facets of our government or global economy.

first i will go with welcome to byc and second i will say i am sure what you are saying to have plenty of viability to it. I know how well byc is doing and how many members we have which makes anything we say a reason to be monitored by governmental agencies.
