I think is finally getting ready to lay!!I'm super excited. These are my first chickens. Shes been hanging out in the nesting boxes, squatting, and singing that egg laying song. Every morning I get up with high expectations but nothing so far. Maybe the 1st will be my lucky day as it's my birthday

It is. And it also feel like it takes eternity. And to add onto that, I'm so impatient waiting for these 7 to lay but I still went out and got 4 more. They're 2 weeks old now.

Thankfully my husband was fine with it. When I was trying to convince him to let us get chickens I promised him I would not get more than 4. I came home with 7 and now I'm at 11. But who could resist this?!

Well, no birthday egg for me but one of them is getting close I think. Every morning somebody has been kicking these fake eggs (golf balls) around.

Still no eggs but opened up the box to this this morning. Somebody is throwing the shavings and golf balls everywhere. Hoping soon. I also think one of my other girls will lay soon also. Maybe they all will at the same time

We got our first egg today!! Funny enough not from one of my production blues but from my easter egger. Shes 17 weeks
