That is so true! LOL It is amazing when they are born and they look like one thing and then turn out to be another. I had one bird hatch and I thought it was a silver pied and it turned out to be a regular pied white eye hen. I also have a white bird that has 4 black feathers on it LOL, seems to be gaining a black feather per year LOL
 
By the way, anyone, is there a difference between Buford Bronze and Bronze?
Is it more correct to call it Buford Bronze?
I think is better to name it Bronze ( ex-Buford Bronze ).

And, is Oaten really not a color? I see it mentioned a lot, but I also see it is not on the UPA list.

Oaten is the "old" term for Cameo Black Shoulder. Back when I bought my antique(19 yo) CBS hen she was still called an Oaten.
