Our Chickens are now five months old and one of them has laid three tiny eggs in the past five days, although we don't know who? This little Hen is the runt of the chicks and is constantly picked on. We have separated her in the past but she wants to be with the others and has learned to cope. We do make sure she gets enough to eat and drink. It's sad, but the pecking order is what it is. They are so cute!
Yes the pecking order can be cruel, I too usually pamper those at the bottom, sneak them goodies, lap sit with them, give them a little more attention than the others to make sure they stay happy birds. Those at the bottom can be the friendliest!
