So my husband left for Utah Friday morning all is well Friday rather uneventful.

Saturday comes along and all is going well, took the kids to the feed store to pick up our weekly order of feed. Saturday afternoon it seemed like it was looking good kids were excited about going to play muddy volleyball. While waiting until it was time to head to the church, I was perusing the farm and garden section of CL and came across am ad for 2 Dominique pullets for $10 I called they still had them available AWESOME I thought! I dropped 4/5 kids off at the church function and took off with the remaining kid to go pick up the chickens. We stopped to get something for us to drink and to pull cash back so I could pay for the new gals all went well. While I was walking out I was like darn forgot to get gas,so I decided to pay at the pump. Well the pump I was at had an unresponsive no button so when it asked me if I wanted a car wash I selected no and it didn't respond so I pushed the no button like 3 or 4 times which in return cancelled my whole transaction, ugh I was a little miffed at this point so I went to start the whole process over again. It declined my debit card so I sent in the 16 year old to pay for it at the register declined my card twice by this point I am livid as I know darn well there is plenty of money in the account. I said screw it I will go by the bank up the street and just pull some cash out and get gas at another station up the street. My bank account balance shows there is money on the account but declined my withdraw due to insufficient funds. I am beyond livid at this point. I used my cc to get gas and made my way out to pick up the new gals. I get home and check my account and the stupid gas station has my whole account balance on a preauthorize hold. I call my husband tell him whats going on he calls the gas station where this happened at demanding to speak to the manager and what not. Then he calls me back tells me there isn't a manager on duty until Monday! I tell him what am I supposed to do I can't go withdraw cash and I don't usually carry any cash on me. He transferred some money from his account to mine to get me through until tomorrow.

Well this morning I woke up and let the flock out, all was well, mind you I let them out a little later than normal it was about 7:45 this morning, went about filling waterers and feeders up and came inside. The kids go out about an hour after I let the flock out to visit with them before going to church. I am sitting in my room reading when my 5 yr old son comes running in telling me that Concorde is bleeding,I freak out when I see my oldest son carrying in my NN who is laying very still in his hands with blood all over his neck. I freak for a second then remember reading a few threads on here about something similar. I cleaned his wounds put some Neosporin on them and wrapped him in a towel fresh from the dryer. Mixed some electrolytes in a waterer and made him a mix of yogurt and feed with some meal worms and place him in a pet taxi. Praying and hoping he would snap out of it. Which he did poor guy is only 9 weeks old. His chin is busted open right by the wattles and he has pecks all down his neck and is missing 2 neck feathers but he is up and running around in the taxi, eating and drinking just fine. I am planning on keeping him in for a couple of days as the chin wound is the worst of his wounds. I am not sure who the attacker was but as punishment the rest of the flock have been denied treats today. Concorde has been out in the run/coop for about 3 weeks now and this is the first incident,I mean yes there was pecking but nothing this harsh, and if it wasn't for this site I would have not known what to do right away like I did. Thank You BYC!

I wish I could hit rewind and do this weekend over again, because it has been one stressful weekend, hope this week will be better!

Sorry had to rant a little and I hope y'all had a better weekend than me!

There are days when it seems like the best course of action is to just go back to bed and start over. I hope you have got things sorted out by now. Particularly with your debit card. I don't think I would be buying gas at that place again, though.

Its a good thing you get to it when you did. Keep an eye on them, and see who the aggressor is. I'm sorry you had such a hard time. Here's a hug, hope you are feeling better.

Things have been sorted out the gas station released the hold; the money was placed back into the account. I still haven't figured out who the aggressor could be,I have sat in the run watching them interact with one another,I have watched them from the patio door and still can not pin point the bully. Concorde is doing great was wanting to be back out with the flock by the second day,so I put Concorde back out after putting some blue coat on to avoid any further damage. Concorde is definitely attached to Chloe my Brahma, she is two weeks older and that is his best bud in the flock, when they come into roost he attempts to sleep under her as if he was an itty bitty chick. It is a sight to see! I need to get pictures. Thank you everyone for the well wishes I appreciate it tremendously.

Thanks

Cherish
