Well at Stellar Gamebirds, Poultry, and Waterfowl, It is not quiet! LOL Very busy and lots of chirps
Thought I would share some of my hatches.
I put in 13 CBBQ in the bator, out popped 13 cbbq...I put in 80 Coturnix, out popped 79, and the 80th has pipped...not too shabbly. Lots of pretty colors. Jumbo Browns, Texas A and Ms, Reds, one little fawn, and 2 Italians (which I know are Italians because they are from a project pen and are split for another color I want). For the photos, I had the Cbbq and the Coturnix together but I put them in separate brooders afterwards. Its easier to toss em in one brooder when collecting and then separating when they are warm and snuggly.
Here is the start of a big hatch.
I got a few fallow cbbq in this hatch so my breeders are doing their job
The fallows really look weird. They hatch with less feathers. They are also known as pink eyed dilute cbbq.
And then there are the cuties too, such as this pied cbbq
Now unto the Coturnix
I don't like to hold cbbq chicks since they are delicate and it stresses them.
Some of my Reds and Tuxedos, you can go on my website to learn about the genetics of the reds
Or I can explain here to those interested
Here are some Jumbo White/Texas A and Ms...They are big tubs of lard LOL
Just a few photos to share. I am very pleased to test the fertility and get a good result
Enjoy!
