This will sound like a joke, but I swear it is legit. Get your chicken lined up in frame and make a fart noise. They'll shoot their head up and hold still just long enough to get the shot.

Many of my best photos are fart-based.

Ok, I had to try it with the babies. After seeing nothing but butts and heads cleaning wingpits, I made The Noise. And it worked!

Apparently the sole reason that I have chickens in my life is so that the Universe should have some fun at my expense.

When they were young- trying to get a photo of one drinking water after hatching- and of course it looks like chickens are fused together.

You know the kind of pics I'm talking about. The ones where everything is in focus, the sun is lighting things perfectly, the birds pose for you and look at the camera, and then...someone has to go and make it weird right at the last minute.

I completely burst out laughing at this
