When you think about it, the 15 dollars that census workers get might be 'hazard' pay.

I was working on fencing and had just cleaned the poop under the baby coop for 14 teenage chicks and 4 geese. It was hazard pay. I can't imagine how horrible I looked in her eyes right them. poultry poop boots, dirt all over, wire hanging out of my pockets for the fencing, a pair of fence cutters hanging in the V of my shirt, another pair of cutters sticking out of the other pocket, hair a mess, sweaty, and grumpy. Yea $15 is just not enough to witness that.

I did fill out mine but my mom had not even though she nagged me about doing mine. I ended up doing hers by proxy because she was on the riding mower and could not be made to stop just then. Just the worst timing lol.

They are getting paid more than double minimum wage to wait around for people... they can wait and do their job themselves.

The one in our area had 3 pits set loose on her from a house in town when she tried to walk up the path.

She stopped at my place next (I had been helping her with directions, since the plat she had wasn't really clear on stuff) and she was just a mess. VERY shaken up.

I asked her what was next and she said the homeowner would have another visit from her supervisor with an armed Sheriff's deputy.

I told her she wasn't making enough money to put up with that.
