Pinball Duck showed off her ducklings and demanded breakfast:

Then i drove to the Post Office and got stuck in traffic! One of the DOTs dump trucks got stuck in the ditch that they are currently cleaning out for the winter (yes, DOT does that during the high-summer here!) - so it took me over 90 minutes for a drive that usually takes between 15 and 20 minutes.
Anyways, »replacement duck« and her two buddies are okay and here is the first video of that gang:

Update from yesterday late afternoon: After the big thunderstorm with lot's of lightning, thunder and bathtub-size raindrops everybody became almost friends with everybody else:

The Puddle Ducks tolerated the Ducknagers, the Ducknagers tolerated Pinball Duck, the Mallards (almost) shared the food with everybody… big duck family.

To avoid any leg or hip-injuries through hopping in and out, the kiddie-pool as nest for the ducknagers was decommissioned and a simple tarp, covered with straw will be used. Food and water added and the ducknagers instantly loved it:

I spend most of the day outside, i make a lot of noise and i trust Pinball and the other Puddle Ducks to initiate the alarm-quack if something is wrong…
This afternoon the neighbor's cat snuck in.
It did cost her one of her seven lives.
Three large drakes, Mr Leroy Brown, Rusty and Drake with no Name teamed up in defense of their Momma…
Much less issues with the heat-wave for that cat!

Oh, and the patio is screened in. - Even trash-panda resistant since this year.
