Thought I had a black silkie...

Thought I had a black silkie, but he is getting patches of silver. What color is he? He is about 8 weeks, so I know it's too early to know for sure, but does he look like a he? His comb is huge and he has no crest compared to my girls, but he is from a feedstore, they were from a breeder. Thanks everyone.

It is a male, I get black birds with silver leaching like that from my mixed color flock.

Looks like maybe a black cuckoo. I think It's a cockerel.

That's usually what happens when two different colors of silkies are mixed.
