They're between 12 and 16 weeks now.
I went out to lock the coop at about 8:30, and did a head count.
7 out of 8 girls were roosting. I was missing a Leghorn (one of the younger ones)!
I checked the nesting boxes. I checked under the coop. I looked around the run. I did another head count. I was still missing one.
I couldn't believe she had gotten out or had been captured.
I was starting to think she had died while I was at work, and no one was telling me.
I looked in the coop again to do another head count, and saw white out of the corner of my eye.
She was on top of the pole I used to hang the waterer!
