About a month ago (close two the beginning of June),my mom went and purchased a female turkey from the local Amish store. It was to accompany the current hen (I think it is a hen) we have now. When the turkey was bought it was sold as a gurl turkey, nobody ever said anything about age but consider sting its size it had to be young! So were almost 2 months in and this turkey has not grew any,and our other hen who is Infact only a couple months (about 4),has doubled in size and weight (was already bigger then the new turkey.Recently the new turkey had been disappearing,I mean for nights only showing up to eat and then disappear again. This behavior has been going on for a few days appearently.I recently watched the bird run off and this time I found her hiding spot.I go to look for her and see her laying down hidden in bed of weeds/slash flowers....what do you know, she has about seven eggs under her AND SHE IS HISSING EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVELY.This is so odd,we coulda swore this bird was no more then a 3-4 months based on its size. This is a whole grown turkey TRYING TO NEST.Im curious as to what breed she is.She is black and white (kinda a faded black)and is so tiny!Im so baffled at this, all help appreciated.

Our 4 month old is a broad breasted meat turkey,Shes already a good 22 pounds.this turkey below (the one is nesting) is legit 9-10 pounds and about the same size as my jersey giant roo.
