thoughts about polish

I didn't start getting eggs from these girls until 30+ weeks. They lay nice white eggs, not small but not quite standard.

We love them! We have 5 right now. My son will be showing them this year. Our experiences have been good.

30 + weeks!! ugh! I really hope I don't have to wait that long. My Orps wont lay for at least another 5 weeks I figure. So how often do your Polish lay?

Every day I get 3 white eggs from their coop. 3 hens and 3 eggs, some days 2 eggs but mostly 3.

Well that's good news! I was hoping for reliable layers but I wasn't sure if Polish were in that category. I don't mind smaller eggs, I will get the larger eggs from the Orps.

Mine always got picked on. Pretty, but spazzy birds. I wouldn't keep Polish in my flock again. If I had a bunch of pens and I could keep them all separated, then I'd love to have them, but where I'm at now, Polish are a no go.
