Thread for Hitoko The Friendly King

Hello everybirdie,

i love showing off my many species of birds. I happen to be very lucky and bought from a source that breeds tameness into buttons! And, of the two babies I hatched (first timer’s blunders), my little assumed tuxedo male is very friendly!

i wanted to make a thread following him growing up. All I do is keep them in a terrarium by my bed, and handle them for a few minutes every day. I also reach in to refill their water and food

He is now 11 days old, and you can see his little white and top black feathers coming in.

Hitoko actively seeks me out even with the option of his sister! He’s scurries along the Sides of the tank towards me if he can see me. All of a sudden I heard a screech from the back room, so I went to check on them, and they were fine, and Hitoko began to cry and scurry along the side of his cage again. So I took him out and he began playing with my rings and wanting to be held!

Officially 3 weeks old!

Hitoko is a very funny boy. He’s developing bad habits and doesn’t go back in his cage unless he wants to/is forced. He screams if you don’t peep back at him when he wants you to!
He is officially four weeks old!
