Wow i'm so scared of heights haha O.O i've gotten a LOT better by hiking tall mountains and flying, etc. Once i get over the height i love the views that can see once up there... :)
You fell off a tree?!! That would scar me for life!

= P Around here its mainly pines, evergreens, redwoods, and all of those trees. You really can't climb a pine for obvious reasons, but evergreens are FUN to climb (if you aren't afraid of heights... If you are don't even think about going up an evergreen.) As for falling off, its happened a couple of times. Most of the time I somehow catch myself on another branch (adrenaline is a powerful thing, grasshopper

). But IMO the risk is worth it since being on top a tall tree is amazing. = )

Oh yeah, we had a lot of evergreens too, except they were more firs instead of pines. You can't climb firs because there's nothing to hold on to.
I like having a high vantage point. Heck, even being on a train overpass and looking down at the tiny little rows of traffic crawling to a standstill beneath me. :lau

One of the prettiest views i've seen is the top of Goat Peak in the Methow Valley of North Central Washington! My relatives live there so we go over at least once a month! If you ever go to Winthrop, WA (that's a town in the valley, it's a total western town, with western storefronts and lots of cowboys and cowgirls... I fit in pretty well there haha) they have some AMAZING hikes with gorgeous views. PM me if you are planning on going there and need some ideas :) i got lots

MP25, I do plan on visiting the US one day! Now, I'm just trying to save up money so I can go to uni and maybe get a job with a salary that would allow me to take overseas holidays. :p Thanks for the offer. The best hikes we've got round here are on Mount Lofty, our amazing, 1000ft tall tourist attraction of a "mountain" (yep, this city is pretty much the most boring place in this country.)
