Three eaglets on Eagle Cam!!!

Why is the connection so bad? As historic as this is, you would think they would have been more prepared than this as far as video and streaming. Looks like my 5 year old nephew is holding the camera.

agreed! I posted on the chat that they could invest in a tripod! And that they should take this video event very seriously, because we all feel that it IS A very big deal. I realize that we are lucky to be able to view them at all, but there is room for improvement. Lets hope for progress.

Here's video from WVEC 13 of two releases...

I'm glad you did that. I am sooooo disappointed to have missed something has magnificent as this.

I just watched the launching again. The 2nd launch was beautiful. Did you see how high the eagle soared in the air?

I'm just so sad they are gone. I hope that they survive out there. I hope that they keep everyone posted of their whereabouts.

If anyone hears any future sightings, please post.

Well NX is back at the Wildlife Center. Apparently she got stressed & over-heated when they were trying to put the transmitter on her & lost her bearings & never gained enough altitude, so they recaptured her & are bringing her back to recuperate for a few days & get used to flying with the transmitter on, & then plan to release her early one morning. They said she isn't hurt, just stressed.

Others were sighted & doing fine.

Photos & videos on WCV's facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/wildlifecenter & there's also one called "Eagle Peeps" with more photos of the release.

Frankly, I'm no expert on eagles or any other wild birds but I kind of wondered why didn't they put that transmitter on her a few days ahead of time & let her learn how to adjust her flying. You know, like when you first saddle a horse? They have to learn how to balance with it.

Good point. Maybe you can send this point in to the "eagle experts" and let them know. Let them know that you are a chicken "expert" and you feel that this will help in their next release. It's worth a shot.

Very good idea.
