Hello. My three-month-old Barred Rock will only put a little bit of pressure on her left leg. She can kind of curl it up and straighten it out if you move her, but she doesn't seem to be able to use her leg. My mom said one of my roosters was following her around and challegning her this morning and I'm wondering if he could have gone after this little one. There doesn't seem to be any blood. What should I do with her? We don't have the money to take her to the vet. (Our Beagle had an emegency c-section last night and we already had to give up our Christmas money.)

So sorry. If it is due to an injury then you want to keep her confined to a small cage where she can't move around a lot, keep food and water close and give her time to heal. You can add vitamins to her water and feed her extra protein like scrambled eggs, canned dog food etc... to keep her strength up and help with healing. If she starts losing weight and there is no improvement after a good amount of time, then I would look into other causes such as, coccidia or worms( if she gets weak and gets thin) Mycoplasma synoviae if she looses weight and control of her leg or neck and a few others.... Hope she gets well soon, Best Wishes.
