Three new chooks

Hi. I live in Albany Western Australia and we have 3 Isla Brown hens which we bought at point of lay. After about 3 months we're getting a few eggs a week but we're still having to buy eggs. I originally joined to find out how much I should be feeding them because when I've had chooks in the past they've had a huge area to free range but here in the suburbs our three are confined to a very small orchard along the edge of our backyard. They are amazing tractors and I'm going to have to put stones around the fruit tree roots to protect them from ambitious diggers. Thanks for all the posts everyone. I look forward to hearing your good ideas.
