I ordered 3, 4-6 week-old chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery. One is a whiting true blue, one is a whiting true green, and another is an Americana. I’ll post pictures of the two that made it. One died. She was a solid light cream to white colored chick.
I'm not sure if I have two whitings, or a whiting and an American? they’re all little hens.
These are the two that survived. One is lighter, the other darker with more details on her little head.
Thank you for your time, my chicken-loving friends!!

Aly

:welcome:woot:woot:celebrate:yesss:Hello Aly and welcome to BYC, You found an Awesome poultry Forum to be a part of with many great knowledgeable members who are more then willing to jump in and help you with any questions you may have. :)
I’ve been here too long to still not know how this all works!! Lol...so forgive me if I post in the wrong place, accidentally post pics of my ceiling fan instead of my chickens, or respond to my own post instead of reply!

Welcome to BYC!
Mcmurray is one of the hatcheries that still call their easter eggers ameraucanas. They may use an off-spelling, such as Americana.
Ee are mixed breeds. Usually they have true Ameraucana somewhere in their genes. So while their ee chicks don't always have beards and muffs, they probably would. You probably lost the easter egger.
The true blues and true greens are also mixed breeds (like an ee without muffs) and may be any feather color too. I'm guessing that you're going to have to wait and see what color eggs they lay to tell which is which.
I personally love mixed breeds. I have a yard full of easter eggers and olive eggers. I like that they are all different, I can tell them apart from a distance.
Good luck with your flock & Happy Chicken Keeping!
