Our peeping package from Cackle Hatchery arrived today. I couldn't be more pleased. I ordered 5 Buff Orps, 5 Gold Laced Wyandottes and 5 Light Brahmas. They shipped an extra LB. All of them are roaring and ready to go. Not a droopy chick in the whole batch. They were drinking, running and then eating right out of the box and have been for two hours now without even napping. They're just now starting to settle down.
I know a few people here were frustrated with Cackle's service, so I just wanted to say that I placed my order online with no problems, received my confirmation in the mail no problem and the chicks arrived on time and are about the healthiest I've ever seen. So they're worth the wait.
