So a Gold Appy x Gold Sebright? Though she has double lacing like the Barnevelder.
She would be considered Incomplete double Laced, or laced half Spangled. A mix of both breeds would result in the pattern you're seeing.

Here's Pea, she just turned 20 weeks, & surprisingly close to laying. This will be the earliest I've ever had a chicken start laying.

20 weeks is pretty average, I have had pullets lay at 14, but takes them up to 20th to get average sized eggs

For the pullets that laid so early, does that seem related to what breeds they are, or just individual variation among pullets?

They were Red Star sex link pullets and leghorn pullets, my Aseel hens lay at 7-8 month old
I sometimes hear of rare breeds that are supposed to lay very early, but I'm not surprised that the actual early layers were modern production types :)

I would start breeding, & hatching from Pea, & Goober, but my grandpa who thinks he controls everything will fuss about it.

He's slowly losing his mind, he's so old. He's 87, & forgetting things, he's getting harder, & harder to keep happy.
