Not sure if I already posted this.

I'm gonna do an experimental crossing for this project. Gonna breed the OEGB, & OEGB/Phoenix mix roosters to my Buff Orpington hens to see how strong the body type, & feathering is inherited. If it works, I'll probably include the F1s produced from this crossing to the project.

I may breed them to my EE hens too.

I believe I've made up my mind on the second set of F1s.

First set of F1s, are my Throw Back birds bred for a couple generations, like 2 - 3 generations to make F2s, & F3s of this first start.

Second set of F1s: Malay X CrackerFowl.

3rd set: Malay/CrackerFowl X Black Sumatra.

Feed costs haven't been that high at my feed store. So, it's not that hard feeding 75 chickens.

We were supposed to do butchering on Tuesday, but some stuff came up. Hopefully next Tuesday will work out.

The two cockerels have been kicking Goober away from the feeder, he became skinny, & became deficient. He's perked up since I began vitamins. He's now sneaking food whenever he gets the chance which is good.

Once the extra boys are gone, the issue will be resolved.

Getting some Red JungleFowl next spring. Getting at least 4.

They're most likely Cracker fowl, even though the hatchery claims they've been bred from original stock, & mentioned something about a subspecies.
