Bringing the small coop over today. Or should I say smallish coop. Supposed to hold upto 8-10 hens, & it's 75lbs.

My Red Wheaten Malay girl laid her second egg yesterday. It was a puny little torpedo egg. The first egg I got from her was like last month, or the beginning of this month I think, & it was also very tiny.

The mixed flock coop didn't get the fall cleaning like they were supposed too, so it took 2 days to clean. I'll get pictures later

17 eggs, that's good. How many are you planning to set?
My incubator can hold 22, I'll have to see how many they lay today and tomorrow. I'm collecting from only two pullets (two pullets that I hatched last October).

The wimpy egg my Red Wheaten Malay pullet laid, compared to the normal extra large Malay pullet eggs.

When are you going to start hatching?
As soon as I can get the brooders cleaned out, & I build that coop to separate some hens. Just brought the coop over yesterday.

(The basement floor has a flooding issue that should be starting to get fixed in two weeks), the water table is really high this year. We're having pumps installed, it takes two days to install. I raise chicks down there.
