I was gonna order an Avian Flu testing kit, & those cost an arm, & a leg. I would have to add extra money to my account to get one, or two.

I'm hoping it's the only one too. Keeping a close eye one that particular coop. I'd hate to start over.

I'll update tomorrow if I have any more sick birds, or not. If I do, I may have to terminate that flock, sanitize, & start completely over, so I will have to do this project differently then what I had originally planned out.

It may not be what I think it is, it may have been something like heart failure, or the early onset of Sudden Hen Death Syndrome, but I'll know for sure later today, or following days. I know a heart issue can result in color changes of the skin, dealt with a couple heart attacks on the hobby farm.

It was kind of odd though, that hen was perfectly fine the day before yesterday.

This whole bird flu thing has me abit on high alert, & a bit spooky.

I was on the thread, Avian Flu in South Carolina, & someone posted something about survivor birds will develop natural immunity, which sounds great actually. Maybe I can breed for immunity if that is what it turns out to be. Update: The rest of the birds are not showing symptoms, all are happy, & perky. Will still monitor over a week, then update again.
