throwaway ducks (pic heavy)

Just wanted to share pics of some of the abandoned ducks by my house, at an upscale water feature known as "Riverwalk"

I don't know my duck breeds very well, so other than the muscovies, I don't know what they are. For some reason I can't see my own images right now, using Linux which my brother set up and having problems with it, so sorry if I am doing the links wrong, no way to even check! D'oh! Anyhow, they are pretty ducks.

I don't know what color this one is. Pretty though... Amazing what people dump!

That white one is a pekin, and the black and white one looks like a magpie. They are very pretty though.

Look at the caruncling on that Muscovy!! Holy Moly!! That's just too awesome!

You know we had a pond in a little community on Cohoes Island when I lived in NY where "throwaway" ducks showed up every year. I never knew what they were of course, except for the Pekins. Now of course I know there were Cayugas, Runners, Muscovys, Magpies, Rouens.

And geese?? Holy Moly we had domestic geese. Big huge white domestic geese. I'd have to see them again to be able to identify them but they were HUGE! And you couldn't get close to them this time of year because the ganders would chase you for blocks!!

People are dumping these ducks ??????? Are you serious... They are simply gorgeous..well a bit to much caruncling on that scovie for my liking- but he still is a very hansome boy.. The last one looks like it could be a saxony x breed.
