Thank you for the advice. The feed is all the same so not searching for special pieces of feed. The opening is 9" above the pine shavings. Will the Amos the Roo scoop it out with his beak?? How high is too high to put the feeder? What is the optimunm height? ( In inches please, I've read to the top of their back but find that hard to measure) I might try a board of some sort below the feeder to catch the falling bits?? Thanks, Any more advice is always welcome.
