Thunder and hatching eggs, is it true?!?!

just wondered if anyone has ever heard that if it thunders (i am talking really loud and close by) when your eggs are going to hatch, they won't hatch?

do you know if it is true?

Oh, I really doubt it. If that were true, no one where I grew up in MI would have been able to have chickens! Or where I lived later in TN for that matter.

Yes if the lighting knocks out the electric on the incubator.

could be a storm coming in raises the humidy too much and they dont' hatch

Or it just could be NOT true

hate to get all the way there and then have a little weather mess me up!

ok thanks for the replies. i just heard it and wondered if anyone knew if it was really true. figured it was just an old wives tale. but hey, stranger things have happened.
