Ok what about the saying "getting all of my ducks in a row".

Now that one is just funny! My mom used to make us walk "like duckies" behind her wherever we went. I guess it was her way of keeping track of the three of us. We had fun with it and even "quacked"

no wonder we're screwed up....

I just came inside and my hubby asked if I put the chickens to bed. (Closed the coop door) For some reason this popped into my head... "She gave them some broth without any bread and whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed". !!!!! Whipped them all soundly? Good grief! That horrible old woman who lived in a shoe!
