ticks?

I am wondering if anyone has seen ticks on their chickens during processing. Can the chicken "pull" their own ticks or are they eaten by the chicken before it can ever attach?

Never seen a tick on our chickens or goats. Never even seen one in their free range area (the birds are insect eating machines and peck each other and everything clean). Our dogs on the other hand...... Loaded and we are constantly battling the ticks!

I have not seen any on my hens. I have caught 3 ticks so far in the grass and on my boot.Never on them.
