Lona led her to the arena, The Shadow following. "No killing. Begin!"

Lona swiveled her head to look at Maia.

Maia waited patiently, as Jao had done, although she looked nervous.

Lona raised a brow. "It's your move."

Maia ran towards Lona's left side, moving faster then the average wolf, but not as fast as Jao. At the last moment she darted to the right and took out Lona's paws from underneath her. As the other wolf fell, she sank her claws into her throat and held tight.

Lona, still having the use of her hind paws, dug her (Lona's) claws into the ground and pushed , doing a backflip and also tossing Maia off. Before Maia could launch a counter-attack, Lona ducked in and jumped on Maia, her teeth tearing into Maia's flesh, then Lona thrashed about, rattling Maia's jaws.

Maia yelped in pain and punched upwards with her hindpaws, catching Lona in the gut like Jao had with Terrik. Her sharp claws ripped six long, deep gashes across her abdomen.

Lona made a sharp, gasping sound, in shock. In furor, she threw Maia into the fence, which was trimmed with fire on The Shadow's request.

Maia screeched as her fur caught fire and shook herself violently, trying to put out the flames.

Jao watched with a slightly interested expression.

The fire dispersed after a few heartbeats with a single flick of The Shadow's ears. It left Maia's coat charred and drenched in ash. Lona watched Maia, ready for a counter-attack.

Terrik was standing beside Jao, watching.

Maia staggered back to her feet, shaky and unsteady. Her breath rattled in her throat as she prowled towards Lona.
