We live on Maui. We have 15 chicks that are 3 weeks old. I have them indoors and brooder temp is about 75 degrees just outside the lamp and about 85 degrees inside the lamp. I watched the weather this morning and our trade winds are dying for the next week (humid) with highs in my area around 80, lows around 65. I'm thinking this is a good time to relocate the brooder to the coop (still confined due to older girls) and just give the chicks their heat lamp from 7pm to 7am.

Is it too early? They are growing feathers but far from being fully feathered.

It sounds perfect. Mine are 2 and a half weeks old and already transitioned outdoors. It is 35 today. I use a heating pad cave for warmth for them, but it doesn't sound like you will likely need anything for them with those temps.
