Mille fleur is just a color--it's been bred into bunches of breeds. Belgian D'Uccles are often mille fleur, which is what you may have been thinking of (they have fluffy feet and vulture hocks). Mine showed up with less black than the gold Sebrights (who were mostly black, like your two darker laced chicks). His feathers had the darker lacing but were kinda dull orangish-beige-ish until he got older. Mille fleur get better with age, but are rather ugly chicks, imo.
