My Jersey Giant laid a HUGE egg yesterday . I candled it and it has 2 yolks. So I think I'm going to incubate it starting next Tuesday. I have eggs in there right now, so I need to wait.
How exciting. It's worth a shot, right?
I would like to put it in there now, but on Saturday I have to jack up the humidity for my hatchers last 3 days. I don't know if I can put a new egg in there if the humidity is high. Anyone have a way?

I got one too! It is in the 'bator on day 6.

I candled last night and looks like at least 1 of them is developing...

Rebecca, Let's keep updating! Glad I have company in my endeavor.
I guess I will wait till Wednesday when the current hatch is finished.

Well, I have heard that's it VERY rare that one or both chicks make it out and stay alive.

But it's a good experiment!

LOL

Has it been done? Haven't figured out yet which one of my hens lays them, but I've found at least 14 of them since this last May. It never even crossed my mind that they would hatch.
