Tino just flogged my Grandma!!! Here is what i did:

No, thank you for being blunt!!! I've tried to love him, but he just put me lower downšŸ˜ž I knew this day would come, I don't need a loving relationship with him... As much as it breaks my heart, ill let him hate me. In hoping his batchlor pad will calm him, and I can build back a relationship that doesn't get me flogged, but I understand I made it harder to achieve today, thank you for letting me know😢
It’s okay, we all do stupid things sometimes. I had an aggressive cockerel once, now he’s a sweet big clumsy thing the runs up to me for treats. It’s not impossible to turn an aggressive rooster into a loving boy, but it takes a bit of effort. And, it is in their blood to be aggressive, so sometimes they mess up, but just like a puppy that peed all over the carpet I just installed two months earlier, they will learn.

If you throw all of the roosters into a bachelor pen it can really change their attitudes. Just speaking from my past experience. Best wishes. Last year I put three adolescents in and got 2 good ones out. The alpha was still a flogging jerk but got souped.
Good to know! I have hope that someday, he can live with a flock again.

I hope he can be nice someday, he is possibly the prettiest thing I have.

And I have to say, my dog, she is one, and still sprinkles when excited. We have to get her on the deck before it gets to badšŸ˜‚ she is so gross.

Thanks guys, I don't plan on letting anyone with him again. He is so sweet sometimes... Then other times I'm plotting to send him to freezer camp. My light Brahma cockerel is the same age now that Tino was the first time he went at me lol. Still sweet as can be. He will be the new roo in that flock! Tino can live in solitude.View attachment 2317457
Quite frankly, being the social, flock-oriented creatures that chickens are, it would be kinder to put him in the freezer than it would to make him live in solitude - especially where he can see and hear the other birds.

I don't see you did anything wrong. A cockerel goes for your grandmother, and you aren't going to sit down with him and talk it out. Quick action is needed, and that's what you did.

You didn't harm him. Maybe it'll make it harder, but you weren't going to sit there watching your grandmother getting attacked.

Young master Tino is losing fans. Hopefully he calms down, since you're planning on keeping him.

X2
Yeah, maybe give him a friend. A nice rooster could be a good role model for him, if you have any. Roosters do need good role models in order to become good themselves, you know.

Oh, I agree. He calms down, and I will Deffidently get him a nice little buddy. What I would hate to have happen is jump to conclusions, get him a friend, and have him get killed. His hormones will have time to due down first, and of course, I will try to rebuild our relationship, and keep him company.

I'm Deffidently not a fan right now XD. He isn't mad at the moment, just a bit on edge, I'm watching him closely, though I doubt I hit him hard enough to hurt him.

I’m Tino’s biggest fan! Even though I’ve never seen him, nor interacted with him, he seems like a lovely boy, just a bit emo at times. My grandmothers were both horrible people, so I can’t really relate to the feeling of wanting to protect one.
