Tiny 5 Week Old Wyandotte

She is about the same size as day 1. She is shown next to her sister. She acts totally normal, eating and playing. She only has a few feathers emerging from her wings. Any ideas on what may be the issue?

I have a Wyandotte runt too. I found she was getting pushed away from the food a lot. I try to make sure she gets plenty to eat away from her sisters.

Bless her she is so cute. I also think she was the runt, too. But i bet in a few
months, she will show them all, who was the runt. lol They usually grow up to be the best, just keep your eye on her, or feed her separate, when the others are not looking. lol Just to put your own mind at rest. I bet she will turn out to be a stunner, as she is
cute now.

Just make sure she gets lots of feed, and she should be fine!

I think that's why the slow feathering.. are they a breeder line?

I hope she is a pullet. Why do you say cockerel?

No Duck thing as runts but stunted growth happens if too cold or had pasty butt etcetera as a tiny chick.
