Tiny Australorp Chick

I have an Australorps cockerel that was much smaller and very slow to feather out. He is 26 weeks old now and is almost as big as the other Australorp cockerel of the same age.
If she is eating, drinking acting normal, I'm sure she is fine.
thanks for the info.....I want to make sure she is okay and it helps knowing I am not the only one that had this issue, I don't feel so alone....have a good day!

I posted a lot of questions about Lil Bit, too. I was worried for a while that I would have to make him a saddle apron to keep him warm in the winter, his back was almost bald for so long but his feathers finally came in and he finally grew.

Hi...I posted the other day about the Australorp and the different sizes in my babies even though I got them on the same day....I weighed munchkin and she is 3 ounces...I got a close up also if her back....and I got them the end of July....any thoughts on why so little? She is active and eating...her droppings look normal...and she is on the chick starter....sorry I didn’t go back and post on my original thread but I am new to this and didn’t know how to......any thoughts are gladly welcomed....
Hi....well another update on Munchikin....she weighs 4 ounces this week ! her activity seems to be the same so doesn't look sick.....I can only hope that she continues to grow. I notice more feathers coming on her back, so another good sign......thanks again everyone, your thoughts and words are always welcome.

good morning...well latest update on munchkin...she went from 4 ounces to 6.2 last week to 7.6 as of last night....I was beginning to wonder if she was even an australorp - due to hardly any feathers on her neck but her little legs are starting to turn the black on the fronts....but I am happy that she seems to be growing, active....so we will give her another week. thank every and have a good day

Glad to hear she is still hanging in there:)

Hmmm....she may not be an Australorp! The legs should be black and that neck! Wonder if she is a naked neck cross or something?
