Tiny egg

This is Strawberry. She came from a fairy egg I got from my brown leghorn. I was already incubating eggs and decided to see what would happen. Her dad is an EE, so no idea what she will look like but she looks like she might look like an EE with the leghorn comb.View attachment 1903965 She is smaller than her hatchmates but more lively.
The little blue egg chick has been cheeping to me! Much more lively than the other egg. I thought fairy eggs had no yolks though?

Fairy eggs can be yolkless but when you candle a newly laid egg you can see if it has one or more yolks. Fairy egg yolks can be smaller than normal or even normal sized.
That's interesting; was your chick's fairy egg a small yolk?

Yeah compared to other egg yolks, but it was just right compared to the size of the egg it was in. Here is Strawberry at 1 week next to her hatchmates. Please excuse the poop lol.

She is the tiny one in the middle. She eats and drinks and holds her own against the other chicks.

It's all good I had 1 outta 4 fertilized from a first time layer, and she hatched out about 1/3 of the size of the others from the older hens, by day 2 she was catching up quickly and terrorizing the bigger ones, report from the lady that got them by day 3 she couldn't tell the difference. That is how fast they grow.
here's a picture of her at 2 days old, as they were playing in the kiddie pool awaiting the lady that took them for her broody she couldn't get broke

Incubating tiny/pullet eggs is OK if you are a pet person and don't care what you end up with. But if you are a breeder improving a breed, I wouldn't do it. There are many reasons for this. Among them is the available space and nutrition. What you start with is all there will ever be.
One thing I've found is that pullets that hatch from very small eggs will lay very small eggs most of their lives.
