TINY Mystery Egg!

There is too much blood when I try to make the pip larger. This is only the 17th day. The house is pretty warm since I have not had a chance to install the A/C (too early for it) and the humidity is 74% in the room. I can get a good look before chilling or drying it out. I just hope it does not decide to die overnight.

well if it is in fact a chicken then it is early but if it is a quail tis right on time LOL. the only thing I can say is typically it pips around the air cell making it easier to help... the last one I had to help missed the air cell but it was still near that end... Hmmm probably you have blood vessels near the pip area. I would take it easy for a while. When I helped the last one (it was seran wrapped into the egg) I only removed the outer membrane and the shell, the inner membrane was still interlaced with blood vessels so I had to dampen them and wait a little bit and then eventually I could stratch them and not do any injury to the baby, it is tough....trying to wait...i know we are all on edge to see what on earth you have hatching in your mini egg lol. As I said in previous post I'm at work all night and so am officially on chicken fart watch. So I'm sitting here at work and get so tickled at myself! In my head I'm tryingto name this mystery chick. And have come up with Pootie? Lil Poot? Tootie? Tooter? Flatty (short for flatus - heehee)? Feel free to chime in!! Squirt? Popcorn? Poppy? Popper? Nugget? Windy? Ok. I'm done. Sorry. Had to get hat outta my system and since I had so much fun with it, I thought I'd share with you. This is what happens when you work nights in an ER. You get a lil twisted!!!

I had an egg that was a lot smaller than the rest with my last hatch. It hatched a full day and a half after all the others, even with my help. It piped but couldn't zip; I don't think it had enough room to zip. It is doing great and is a perfect miniature of its siblings. They are 12 days old and It's still only half the size of the others.
Sending good (((vibes))) in hopes your little one hatches and thrives.
