It is so funny, I just found one of these tiny eggs today. I think mine is smaller than a dime! I have always wondered why they lay those too. Your baby is adorable! Keep on chuggin!

Hummm... I'm new to chickens and just have my first handful of chicks. What the heck is a "fart egg" and what is pipping?

"Pipping" is the little hole a chick makes in the egg when it begins to hatch ~ a very exciting time when you have had you nose to the glass of an incubator watching eggs for 3 weeks! "Zipping" is when the chick enlarges the hole in a circle around the egg to complete the hatch.
