No hens have them but most of them just never grow more than knobs ....others grow into spurs. I have an orp hen with awesome spurs. LOL

I told ya! Didn't I? I told ya to send that psychotic little ball of feathers to me a long time ago! But did ya listen? Nooooooo!! Now you're reaping the harvest of that bad decision! As you sow, so shall you reap!!

But, it's not too late you know! I'll still take her if you want to crate her up and send her on her merry little way. Her and Goobey could become swell friends, I'm sure!!

1. LOL Serrin!
2. Cetawin, I have several Australorps with downright impressive spurs!
3. Speckled, I have an OEGB Black breasted red named Mr. Big Stuff -- the name says it all... He used to run my giant Barred Rock rooster ALL OVER the run and adjoining yard until the BR would be panting and falling over, gasping for breath. I kept trying to get the BR to turn and face him, but he never would. I finally gave the poor BR away to a family who'd lost their silver Phoenix roo to a predator. He is now happy with his own group of ladies, and no Mr. Big Stuff to give him daily grief & humiliation...

Oh, I forgot about Freaky Fredia.... she is my crooked beak Bantam Polish hen. She thinks she's an attack roo to any other animal, especially other chickens- no matter how big! It's so funny to watch her, and to think i was sooo worried about her as a chick because of her beak. I'll have to get a pick of her... she's so funny looking, you'd never guess.

Yep, my little D'Anvers are attack dogs..... you'll see that little tail coming at you through the high grass then bam- attacks your shoe! You pick them up, they are cuddle bumms, put them back down and they attack your shoes again. Good thing they are so little.

Ah, yes, she's a she, alright. The girl lays her tiny egg every day without fail. She's going on two years old, if memory serves. I've had several hens with spurs. Tiny's spurs are from her Sumatra heritage, but I've had a blue Orp and her daughter, a RIR and and Speckled Sussex, all with spurs.

She is high maintenance, that one. I was going to rehome her, but I think someone would probably wring her scrawny neck by the end of the first week. Tom almost has on more than one occasion...and he's the one who spoiled her rotten as a chickster. That stupid hen will probably live to be 20 years old.
