Tip of the hat to all who raise and process their own!

I grew up on a small farm, and our meat came mostly from the pasture. We raised turkeys, rabbits, pigs, chickens, cattle. I now live a lot closer to town but I remain attached to my way of life growing up, I teach my kids the respect and dignity all meat animals deserve even though my meat scale is small (just the rabbits and the chickens). Still, we have to wrap and freeze each critter until we forget which one it was but it's nice to be somewhat independant from the rest of the consumer world. I hope to raise a few lambs next spring. Salut to all other farmers out there!
