Yesterday I picked up 3 fertilized duck eggs and put them under one of my hens in hopes that she will hatch them. Well she has COMPLETELY lost interest and will not even go near the eggs. So just now I went to the coop and another hen was being very aggressive when I tried to get them eggs from under her. So I switched them. SO now the broody hen is settling on the eggs and the uninterested hen is with the other chickens. But does anyone have any tricks to keep the hen on the eggs? Any advice for when/if they hatch. They are ducks so they are different. I have done chicks before but never ducks. How do i keep it as stress free as possible?
